Kremlin 1-4

The first four Flash anime shorts inspired by Kaoru Curry-zawa's Kremlin cat gag comedy began streaming to the public on YouTube on Friday.

The gag comedy centers around a purported college student named Haruo "Cat" Kyattsuyama who only went to his school, the low-tier Kunekune College, once. One day, he sees a cute Russian Blue cat named Kan-u abandoned in a cardboard box on the roadside somewhere in Japan. Kyattsuyama pretends not to see the cat, and continues to do so for an entire year. Surprisingly, no one has shown up to try to save the cat, so Kyattsuyama finally decides to pick the cat up — however, by then, there are now three Russian Blue cats instead of just one. Kyattsuyama asked the cats for their names, and they all said "Kan-u."

I'm glad I know enough Japanese to understand most of it XD

#IndonesianIdol

I don't usually watch reality TV shows because they're carefully orchestrated to add some drama and flair by the companies (like Master Chef; I watched it for the yummy food, not the over-the-top drama), but these past few weeks found me glued to the TV screen whenever Indonesian Idol aired. Some of the contestants really have it in them to become big hits!

My mom, who's been watching it since the auditions, told me how some of them come from difficult backgrounds; one was a beggar (but he's very well-mannered! I almost couldn't believe it), the mother of another contestant sold their chickens so that her son could go to the audition, while another one has had to experience a riches-to-rags story and is now trying to restore her family's reputation. Way to tug at my heartstrings, FremantleMedia.

My votes go to Yoda, Dion, Regina, and Sean; though I also support Rosa and Sandy. They have just performed popular girl/boy band songs in groups of three, and their performances were brilliant! Go get them, guys!

New Year's envelope in March

More Gintoki/Tsukuyo interaction yay! :D there's also a LOT of dirty jokes, though that's pretty normal for Gintama. I really like Tsukuyo, she's strong (both physically and mentally) and dependable, a great onee-san figure who also has her own adorable traits (like getting violent after getting drunk from a bourbon chocolate). I wish she had more screen time! I've never thought I'd ship Gin-san romantically with anyone, but as soon as she first appeared during the Yoshiwara arc in episode 177, I knew it had to be her. Sorachi-sensei is the best!

Oh and Ning-chan, here goes. See, I drew her chomping on a fish in the riverbank. Though that can be changed :P

Two things.

1. The massive amount of canon!USUK in the latest issue of Birz magazine.

2. The latest Gintama episode (241).

YESSSSS

SECRET. SANTA.

MY PRESENT CAME.

OH GOODNESS. /DIES

I picked the right time to steal my bro's internet. The author really did the prompt justice and then some. Unf butler!Alfred AND master!Arthur is something we (I) need more of. I melted from all the domestic fluff and sap. And there's so many bits of the fic that I like, such as the breakfast in the rose garden, Arthur's parents visiting... I should be doing my homework but I keep re-reading it!

Now I feel really bad for not having finished my gift yet :/ go, me! /is pumped up

AW YEAH

I've actually seen it before I came home just now but

Batman!US and Robin!UK

Must. Draw. Fanart. Nowww.

EDIT: So I'm done properly squeeing in the privacy of my room (though I think my bro can hear me from outside). I'm really, REALLY glad I got into this fandom and USUK, because, seriously, Hetaween's made me really happy and all; I did today's work in a positively cheerful mood +o+

And, the USUK moments are just PRECIOUS. The tiny little note behind England's ear, them meeting up, England being America's first follower on Twitter (SQUEE!), England actually agreeing to wear that Robin costume to pair with Batman!America, their bickering and sexual tension in public... I can't help but think that the reason why America chose England to be his partner was not just because England's his first follower :D you get my drift?

Other than that, I love the costume groups Hima-sensei has drawn for this event. Alice!Belarussss ;A; she's so gorgeous <333 and so is Belgium in her red riding hood. The Nordics as pirates really made my inner pirate!fangirl squeal in joy (and the costumes are really interesting). The Asians and Germans are also very awesome, but what caught my attention was Cuba, Cameroon, and.... India! Cuba in a bunny waiter outfit was too cute XDDD seriously, Hima, what's with you and waiter outfits? Cameroon's shy attitude was very endearing X3 and his (tiger?) lion actually graduated an art academy! LOLOLOL India's portrayal was not what I had in mind (a pretty, dark-skinned girl), but he sounds like such a gentleman in his conversation with Prussia. He just gives this really nice vibe, and seems likable.

Also, I keep laughing at Mochimerica and its (his?) antics. And Grandpa Rome!!

Haha, I'll draw something later tonight :))) I feel really refreshed. Thank you Hima-sensei, and all the kind people who have translated the Halloween comics! <3

home again

The thing that I dislike most about staying in another person's place is probably the smell. I notice that every room or house has a distinct smell that's different from others, but I can't properly describe it.

I've been out of town these past few days, accompanying my grandma to Semarang to visit my aunt and uncle's apartment exhibition. It was a rather lovely city: not too big and still lots of trees around. The food is cheap and good, travel time between places is only 5-15 minutes, and there's a public bus service (which sadly does not exist in my city even though it's the second biggest in the country).

So. The plane ride was very uncomfortable because I kept getting dizzy especially during landing, but the plane. The plane. It was so small and cute! It carries 80 passengers max, and the wings are attached to the top side of the plane (usually it's from the middle right?). There are big propellers; I think the blades are as tall as I am. Anyway, it's small, therefore it's cute.

My aunt and uncle run a property business, and right now they're launching a 19-story apartment for sale. I hope they reach the targeted sales quota. I think if I keep talking, I'll dive straight into some personal and family issues, so I'll just say that I've come to re-acquaintance myself with them, and found that they are rather decent people. Yep.

And they told me that if they're organizing another event, I should come with my other older cousins and learn some marketing skills a.k.a trying to sell an apartment unit or a house. LOL.

Their house is big, but not pointlessly so; very tasteful decoration and furniture. And now that I'm back home, my luggage and I smell like a very fragrant infusion of tea and flowers (which is really nice but it just feels foreign).
For comparison purposes, when I came back from my other aunt's place (in the same city as mine), I smelled like dog, dog fur, and... something fragrant which I think must have been her perfume. Some shirts that she gave me still smelled faintly like that even after my mom washed it and used fabric softener. And she had to shake off the fur that was stuck to them.

What else... Oh, and I really recommend reading Martin Page's "How I Became Stupid". It tells of the struggles of Antoine, a man who's tortured by his own intelligence and painful awareness of things, as he tries everything from alcoholism to suicide (and finally the denouncement of his intelligence) to fit in with the society. One of my favourite books ever, hands down. I personally think the alcoholism one is very funny.

Now to read some fanfics.

Uni starts tomorrow :(((

and now for an update

Nothing much, 'cept my body hurts (especially my butt, seeing as they always make us sit on the ground) and I've managed to survive 17 days of the USxUK Summer Camp :))) Daaamn proud of myself but I can't really pat myself on the back XD Working on the 18th one now.

More updates on hell the orientation later.

My brother just walked in on me drawing a making-out scene. I'd laugh if it wasn't so awkward.

Look at what my brother made for me <333

He's my amazing partner in US/UK shipping at home, and he's just 10 years old! XD

This is from a game he plays on Facebook (he falsified his age to make the account, how awesome is that?) called My Shops. Can you see Mount Rushmore as the roof? Thomas Jefferson and a soldier near the entrance? BBQ Dad, Pie Mom, and Soda Sister? The flag and letters 'USA'? And it's next to a very English clothing store (on the left, but it's much bigger), complete with a red telephone box, Union Jack balloons, and more.

And one more because I'm an Anglophile:

XDDDDD the dragon!
Never stop being awesome, bro.

Gintama has the best gifs

I'm guzzling down chicken soup and buttered bread like there's no tomorrow.
My comfort food =w=

Watching Gintama to distract myself now. I think too much sometimes.

EDIT: Gintama 215 = Kiheitai badassery. I knew Kamui and Takasugi were going to join forces... Poor Gin-san. He didn't even get screen time this episode.

Just watched Ao no Exorcist 11. What a waste of time; it was a filler episode. No plot progression, sub par animation (plus the pace was unlike its previous episodes)... They tried too hard to make a 'summer' episode. I might discontinue watching this anime, seeing as the manga is currently still in the middle of a pretty boring arc to me (which means the anime's gonna either end with a cliffhanger (season 2?) or have more filler episodes). Can't resist the art, though.

Denpa Onna 10-12 now ^w^ I feel a bit better already.

Living is hard

"everybody dies, but not everybody really lives."

... Idk, I just don't want to go through uni. Mostly because I don't want to participate in the (unfortunately compulsory) orientation, or seniors-torture-freshmen time.
Though perhaps I can ask if I'll be allowed to "skip" some classes and advance faster. Hopefully. I don't want all my work and experience in Singapore to just go to waste.

Oh man, why am I emo now?

I just went out with two of my friends whom I've known since primary school. It was my first human interaction (aside from family) I've had in months. We talked and watched a movie; oh, Grace rarely goes back from Australia, Paul is in NUS now, have you heard from Yulia?
It's a lot to process for me since I don't normally keep in touch with anyone except my best friends. And since we're not the type of girls to look at clothes and accessories, we decided to eat ice-cream (note to self: never buy low-fat ice-cream anymore) and talk some more.
They said it would be such a waste if I were to continue my education in Indonesia. More of the loans-and-scholarships talk.

We watched Source Code and it was AWESOME. In my opinion, it was better than Moon, though IMDB ratings say otherwise (just a 0.3 difference). I see some similarities between the main characters of both movies, Sam Bell and Steven Colfers. Probably because they're both directed by Duncan Jones, yep. It's not the typical Hollywood movie with exploding cars, gunfights, and damsel-rescues (although there's a little bit of those, too).
I love you, Ms Goodwin. <333

Hokay gonna work on the badges now.

Damn you sedoparking dot com

Why am I being rerouted there? I can't even reply to comments. It's a miracle I could get to the update page. Is this part of a bigger conspiracy to get me to sleep early? Or is this part of an even bigger conspiracy just waiting to jump me at a point in my life? NHK ni Youkoso, anyone? I love that anime.

... I've been watching too much Community. It's very meta and entertaining, awfully so, even though sometimes the humour can be a little brash and crude (I think that's Dan Harmon to you). It's funny to see the characters take a small matter very seriously, and it becomes so cliche it's funny. I just watched episode 9 of the second season: "Conspiracy Theories and Soft Defenses". Damn, triple-crossing? And the cop? It also covers racist stuff, religion... and I can't help but think, 'hey, that's what I've always thought about xxx and xxx!'. And ever since I watched that episode about religion, I can differentiate between an agnostic and an atheist (speaking of which, now I'm learning to not say or type the G-word. You'd be surprised how often it is used without actually meaning it: I almost wrote the beginning of this post with it).
I seriously don't like Pierce, though. Racist old bloke with too much money in his hands XD

I should be getting my scans soon, and then I'll work on the badges. In the meantime, since the internet is unbelievably fast the whole day, I've been watching Community, The Big Bang Theory, and Gintama (the Four Devas arc!! Whoooo!!)

Ning, catch you later X) I feel weird replying to comments on a new entry.

Maybe even me writing this post is part of a conspiracy. It has to be.

Because they do exist.

+1 for Obama

I could almost feel the happiness of the American citizens permeating from the TV I was watching :)

And for once, I was up to date with the news. I watched the TV for seven hours straight.
