Me: ... *is drawing some US/UK*

Mom: Why do you always draw those two?

Me: Um, because I like them as a couple.

Mom: Well, I'd rather you not venture into that kind of things. It's... abnormal.

Me: ...

------------
It's not that I don't like my mom, but... I'd really like some privacy to do stuff on my laptop. Need some. I mean, parents don't normally come into their children's room, stretch themselves out on the bed with them, and watch them read fanfics. And I get really nervous when people see me draw.
Though she doesn't violently object to my OTP being boy/boy. She never brought it up as a topic of 'conversation' til now. To me, it almost seems like she disillusions herself by telling herself her daughter is just an otaku obsessed with anything with Union Jack or Old Glory.

My OTP just happens to be a homosexual one. I'm fine with yaoi/yuri (I believe gender is not important in love), but I'm not a fan of it (as in, reading tons of yaoi/yuri manga etc but I do read some nice ones). Sometimes I find this hard to get across. People judge. When they know you read, for example, US/UK stuff, they'd just say, "Oh, s/he's one of those, huh..." and dump you into the 'yaoi fan' category. And when they judge, the decision they make colours their perspective of you in their eyes, more often than not.

Not that I care.

On another note, I've been busy with my cousin's wedding preparation (I'm making a carpet rug as a present and it's freaking tedious, though I got a lot of help from my mom). It will be held at a very fancy building called the Empire Palace (or something like that). Seriously, it looks like some huge guy just took a museum from Paris or Vatican City and put it in the middle of ordinary shophouses. It's grand, but kinda out of place. Will be taking photos haha. Apparently I was gonna be the bridesmaid but the bride decided against having one in the end.

And I had a nice tweeting session (what we call Twit-nami) with my Indo friends yesterday. They're still as nice as ever and I love them so much XDDD I feel bad for not being able to tweet much lately (William told me I almost became an endangered species!). Jeane recommended some nice TV series to watch, so I bought them today when my mom and I went out to buy more material for the rug. A whopping 28 discs! I got Community, Hawaii Five-0, The Office (the American one, I think), and Fringe. I feel like I can just lock myself in the room and not come out for a week just watching them. Not that I have the time.

MIA, MIA~ oh, and White Collar's awesome, btw. I watched the first season four times.
